The first part of the interview goes out in the middle of a conversation about Ruby and Python. You were saying they were pretty much the same in terms of ‘power’ and you were about to say what the big difference of Ruby in comparison with Python was.
I’m curious, what do you think is the big difference between Ruby and Python?

Well, my idea here is that the major difference is in “there is only one way to do it” vs “there is more than one way to do it”+the Ruby communities willingness to find the right way of doing things. The first means Guido and the other major language designers must know what is the best way to do it, while Ruby’s approach allow the community to come to terms with how to best accomplish things. This is probably the largest difference, in my opinion, and most other differences come from this.
